About the Program

She Designs is an online UX design training program founded by Sharae Gibbs, an interaction designer with over 15 years of experience at companies like IBM and Google. We provide rigorous training, practical mentorship, and a curriculum rooted in real-world problem-solving to help students successfully navigate the technology landscape.

We offer two main programs:
UX Foundations: An introductory, self-paced course designed for those beginning their journey in UX, exploring the problem space through user research, information architecture, prototyping, and design thinking principles via engaging video tutorials.
Design Mastery Bootcamp: A comprehensive, advanced program designed to bridge the gap between foundational knowledge and professional mastery. It provides an immersive environment taught by a seasoned instructor, requiring a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week.

Gain valuable UX design skills through a comprehensive curriculum, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, connect with a network of women of color interested in UX design, and develop your career by learning valuable job search and professional development skills.

No prior design experience is required—just curiosity, an open mind, and a computer with internet access.

What is the cost of She Designs programs? UX Foundations Program: $3,500. Design Mastery Bootcamp: $7,500. These prices include access to all course materials and live workshops.
What is included in the tuition fee? Tuition covers course materials (all required videos, readings, and exercises), personalized mentorship sessions (if applicable), and full access to our student community for peer support and networking.
What are my payment and financing options? We offer flexible ways to manage tuition:
Pay Upfront: Pay the full tuition at once with zero interest or financing fees.
Installment Plans: Split your tuition into 2 or 3 equal payments (please note that split payments are not currently offered for the UX Foundations Program).
Climb Credit Financing: Financing through Climb Credit (https://climbcredit.com/) allows you to break down costs into manageable monthly payments, typically ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 with starting rates at 7.99% APR and 3, 6, or 12-month repayment terms with no prepayment penalties.

Startups must be willing to provide students with a paid internship.
Here are our expectations:
Be willing to participate in weekly meetings and provide thoughtful critiques to support student development.
Designate a contact point that is available to participate in the kick-off call, review session, and final presentation.
Provide background documentation to help us understand your product or service including design files (style guides, fonts, logo), target audience documentation, access to the site, analytics, etc.
Help with identifying users to participate in user interviews and usability testing sessions with our students.
Engage our students in each meeting with active listening and thoughtful critique to support their development.
Provide students with a paid internship.
